How do I get the MLB Network?
Get MLB Network when you add Sports Extra to your Sling Orange or Sling Blue subscription.
Here's how to add Sports Extra to your subscription:
- Log into My Account
- Select Edit Subscription & open the Extras menu drop-down
- Choose +ADD under the Sports Extra tile
- Click on the CHECK OUT icon at the bottom right of the screen to confirm & start watching!
You're all set! Your new channels should be available within a few minutes.
If you're already Slinging, you may need to close and re-launch the browser or the Sling app on your device.
What is the MLB Network Strike Zone?
Get commercial-free up-to-the-minute MLB highlights, updates and more when live game telecasts air on MLB Network Tuesday and Friday nights. MLB Network Strike Zone also offers the most updated scores, standings and stats throughout the MLB season.
MLB Network Strike Zone is included with your subscription to Sports Extra.
How to Watch Out-of-Market MLB Games
MLB.TV is now available on Sling for $29.99 a month! MLB.TV lets you watch every out-of-market MLB game all season long! MLB.TV offers subscribers access to all out-of-market games, not your local team. So if you’re a Chicago White Sox fan living in Boston, or a Boston Red Sox fan living in Chicago, MLB.TV is for you.
In addition to channels for all 30 teams, you’ll also have access to MLB Big Inning – which brings fans daily live look-ins, breaking highlights, and the biggest moments as they happen - plus VOD to watch the games on your own schedule. You’ll also have access to local pregame and postgame shows.
MLB.TV does not include national TV broadcasts on ESPN, TBS, FOX, FS1, or streaming platforms (including the All-Star Game, the MLB Playoffs, and the World Series). However, your subscription does give you access to At Bat which gives you access to live audio to games that are not available on MLB.TV
How Do I Authenticate My Subscription in the MLB App?
First, you’ll need to create an account on MLB.com.
Once signed in to your MLB.com account, visit commerce.mlb.com/ei, select Sling as your TV provider, and sign in with your Sling credentials.
Do I Have to Use Sling To Access Games on MLB.TV?
You can use both the Sling app and the MLB app to watch games, just be sure to authenticate your subscription in the MLB app before accessing your content. You can also watch additional live sports on Sling.
Can I Record Games on MLB.TV?
Yes! Sling Cloud DVR is included with up to 50 hours of DVR storage for free, and you can upgrade to Unlimited DVR with Auto Record for $5 to get an unlimited hours of DVR storage.
How to Record Games on MLB.TV
Sling’s new Auto Record feature will automatically record all games for up to three days prior. You can also set your DVR to only record specific teams, just highlight a game you’d like to record and adjust the settings from there.
