Watch shows and movies on demand
Sling includes hundreds of hours of on demand content from your channel subscriptions. You can also record live programs to your DVR, turn on Replays to automatically save popular hits, or rent movies.
Explore on demand
From your home screen or guide:
Press the left arrow to open the menu.
Select On Demand to explore what’s available.
Scroll to the top of the page, then scroll right to browse content types.
From a specific channel page:
Go to the Guide, highlight the channel you want, then press left to select the channel logo.
Select Go to channel details.
Scroll down to look through the channel's available on demand content.
On some channels you can also scroll left on the CHANNEL SCHEDULE to watch the shows that aired earlier in the day.
Rent a movie
From your guide or homescreen:
Press the left arrow to open the menu.
Select On Demand.
Navigate to the top of the page, then press right to select Rentals.
Arrow down to explore rental options, then select any program you’d like to rent.
Confirm your purchase and start watching.
Important things to know about rentals:
We'll charge your Sling account immediately when you confirm your order.
Once you press Watch now, you have 48 hours to finish the movie.
If you choose to watch later, your rental stays in your movie row for up to 20 days before it expires.
You can access your purchases under the My Rentals section on your home screen.
Schedule DVR Recordings
You can create your own library of on demand content by recording shows to your DVR. Anyone who subscribes to Sling gets 50 hours of free DVR storage.
If you upgrade to Unlimited DVR, you can also enable Replays, a feature that automatically saves top shows, movies, and sports on a rolling basis, so you can catch up on the top content without setting up recordings.

You have up to 20 days to start watching your rental. Once you begin playback, you have 48 hours to watch or re-watch it. Charges apply immediately upon confirmation and are non-refundable.
You can watch your rented movie as many times as you like within your 48-hour viewing window.
If your device app lacks a rentals tab, buy the rental via the Sling mobile app or from your Sling account on a computer browser. Once confirmed, the rental will appear on all your connected streaming devices.
Standard rentals range from $3.99 to $6.99 per movie, plus tax. New releases range from $5.99 to $19.99.

Yes. You can restrict unauthorized rentals by setting up a purchase lock through the parental controls feature in your app.
Rentals require explicit confirmation before purchase and are non-refundable. If you are experiencing technical issues launching your rental, select the Chat icon to launch our chatbot. If our chatbot cannot solve the issue, it will connect you with a live agent.
