Error Messages

Error Messages (or Codes) can happen for various reasons. Thankfully, many times you can fix them easily with just a few simple steps.

However, if you know the Error Code, you can click on your section below for our common troubleshooting steps. Chances are, this will save you the time it would take to get connected with an agent.

Buffering Error Codes

[21-51], [21-20], [21-37], [4-402], [6-9], [543-1]

Sometimes, apps can encounter temporary glitches or bugs. Restarting the Sling TV app can help refresh its functionality and resolve any issues it might be experiencing.

Sling TV requires a stable internet connection for smooth streaming. Use an internet speed testing tool to check if your internet speed meets Sling TV's recommended minimum requirements. Slow internet speeds can cause buffering or playback issues.

Ensure that your device is connected to a stable WiFi network. If WiFi is turned off, your device might be using cellular data, which can be slower and less reliable for streaming.

Your modem or router might be experiencing connectivity issues. Power cycling your modem/router by unplugging it, waiting for a minute, and then plugging it back in can often resolve these issues by resetting the connection.

Playback Error Codes

[27-7], [27-5], [28-66], [28-60], [28-29], [28-30], [29-1], [7-403]

Ad-blockers can interfere with the proper functioning of streaming services like Sling TV, causing playback errors or preventing content from loading. Disable any ad-blocking extensions or software on your device and try streaming again.
