Streaming Local Channels on Sling TV
Live local programming from FOX and NBC is available for customers located in select cities when subscribed to our Sling Blue or Sling Orange + Sling Blue services. If you have a zip code in a market we have FOX, but not NBC, then you will only see the FOX owned and operated stations.
You can use our Service Optimizer to search for locals available on Sling in your area.

Watching Local Channels on Sling with AirTV
With only a handful of exceptions related to Fox and NBC local broadcast affiliates, local channels are only available streaming with your Sling TV service when you have installed an AirTV device and connected an HD antenna.
Stream the free local channels you love right from your Sling guide when you bundle your Sling subscription with an AirTV device and HD antenna. Just pair the two with your favorite streaming device, the smart TV Sling app, or the Sling mobile app!
**We recommend that you connect an HD antenna directly to your TV to check for over-the-air (OTA) channel availability in your area PRIOR to purchasing an AirTV device**
To get started, please try these steps to see if you can get an OTA signal with an antenna:
- Check for DTV Reception in your area (FCC.gov) >
- Get help scanning for DTV channels (FCC.gov) >
- If you are unable to get a signal with a standard HD antenna connected to your TV, try a powered indoor antenna along with placing the antenna in different locations near windows and exterior walls to test for reception.
If you are still unable to pick up local channels with your HD antenna connected to your TV, it is unlikely that you will be able to use an AirTV device to stream local channels. AirTV devices integrate the signal received from a connected HD antenna, so if you can't get a signal with an antenna connected to your TV, you won't be able to get locals using an AirTV device.
DTV Reception Note: Reported DTV signal strength is only a prediction and does NOT factor in building construction, terrain, weather, hardware and more.
AirTV Note: Local broadcast channel availability on Sling varies based on geography. Your ability to stream local broadcast channels on Sling TV through an AirTV device depends on antenna placement and an adequate signal from a local transmission tower. AirTV is compatible for use with standard HD antennas and powered HD antennas. (The transmission of OTA channels is not provided by Sling TV, its parent company or affiliates.)
Stream news, sports and pop culture from NBCUniversal. You can download and watch Peacock from NBCUniversal. Peacock is available on many of the same devices you use to watch Sling TV.
TV Everywhere Apps
As a Sling TV customer, you can use your sign-in info to watch TV Everywhere by signing in to certain network streaming apps and websites for channels that you are subscribed to with your Sling service.
NOTE: You will only be able to access TV Everywhere content for channels included in your Sling subscription.
Get live, local programming for free with an HD antenna connected directly to your television. Please note that using an antenna alone will NOT integrate locals into your Sling TV guide unless you also have an AirTV device and an adequate signal from a local transmission tower.

Unlike the other guys, Sling helps you keep your monthly bill low by offering customizable packages and Extras to connect you with the programming that you love - all without forcing you to pay for locals that you can receive for free with an HD antenna connected to your TV.
If in an eligible market, NBC and/or FOX will show up at the front of your guide when you subscribe to Sling Blue or Sling Orange + Sling Blue.
If you have successfully installed an AirTV device, local channels will also appear in your channel guide as well as the Local Channels ribbon.
A Designated Market Area or DMA is a region usually centered around a large city that determines the programming you'll receive. Markets are usually named for the largest city or cities in that market.
For example: FOX is available for streaming on Sling TV in the DMA of Atlanta - WAGA, but you may still receive WAGA even if you live outside of the Atlanta city limits.
