The cost we pay to local broadcast networks in order to provide you with the programming you count on continues to rise significantly—well above the price of inflation.
Local channels are the most expensive part of any channel lineup, with costs passed down from the local broadcast networks. We fight every day on your behalf to keep costs as low as possible, often covering increases. However, due to overwhelmingly high rates, effective on or after 2/20/26 your Sling Blue subscription will increase by $4 per month.
While these rising programming costs affect the entire industry, Sling remains dedicated to being one of the most affordable options for live TV—offering a price significantly lower than other cable-alternative providers. We understand that every dollar counts, which is why we are focused on delivering more flexibility and choice than any other service.

Sling Passes
Sling revolutionized streaming in 2025 with Passes. A first in the streaming industry, Passes put the control in customers' hands by offering access to over 30 popular channels, including ESPN, TNT, CNN, AMC, and more for 1, 3 or 7 days, starting at just $4.99.
Sling Select
We get it, you only want to pay for the channels you watch. With that in mind, we launched Sling Select, our first “skinny bundle” allowing you to pay less for a specialized package of channels that fits your needs. Select starts at just $19.99/mo.
Pause Extra
Pause your service for up to 3 months while still getting access to over 600 channels, including Paramount+ with Showtime and Unlimited DVR with Replays. Only $5/mo., which is reimbursed to your account when your Pause Extra ends and your original service resumes.
New channels
In 2025, we added many new channels to both our paid and Freestream service. Some of these include MeTV, Shockwave, Newsmax2, Yahoo! Sports and more. Now there are more options than ever for you to watch top content on Sling.
4K streaming
Sling now offers 4K streaming on big events! You can expect to find select games and more from FOX, ESPN and Big 10 Network in 4K when you’re viewing on a 4K-capable device.

Every month we unlock content from Extras and Add-Ons to give you even more to watch! Just look for “free preview” in your guide. We’ll also email you if we think a free preview matches your viewing interests.

We enhanced our search functionality to make it much easier for you to find your entertainment, including DVR recordings! You can search by actor names, director names, genre and more.
