Things in Nebraska started off hot this season. The team ran out to a 5-1 start with its only loss coming against Michigan in a game where they actually outplayed the Wolverines. But a 2-3 finish, along with a season-ending injury to quarterback Dillon Riola, has fans feeling uneasy. Rumors have been swirling that Riola will enter the portal after his brother decommitted from the program, and it has only gotten louder after his uncle was fired as offensive line coach. As for Utah, longtime head coach Kyle Whittingham recently announced that this will be his final game coaching the Utes. Whittingham has had an incredible career leading a program that has been as consistent as they come, so expect his players to bring a little extra to the game as they attempt to send their coach off with a win. The Utes longtime defensive coordinator Morgan Scalley will take over in 2026.
