Citrus Bowl Preview and Details

The Texas Longhorns opened the season against the Ohio State Buckeyes, and now they will close the season playing the Michigan Wolverines. Steve Sarkisian did his best to campaign for Texas to earn a bid to the Playoff but came up empty, and rightly so. The Longhorns have three losses, two of which came from the No. 2 and No. 3 ranked teams in the country. But the loss to Florida was impossible to overcome, even with the impressive win over Texas A&M to end the season. Unfortunately, most of the headlines surrounding this game will be about the shocking firing of head coach Sherrone Moore due to inappropriate behavior with a staff member. Moore was detained by police, and Biff Poggi will serve as the interim coach. Either way, it’s the meeting of two massive programs and should be one to watch as we settle in for an epic day of college football.
