A rematch of last year’s NFC Championship, this is the first of two meetings in the final three weeks between these NFC East rivals. While schedule-makers were likely proud of themselves back in May, the unpredictability of the 2025 season has robbed these matchups of juice. Simply put, Washington is having the season from hell; despite a handful of spirited performances, they were in the midst of an eight-game losing streak before beating the Giants last week. And with sophomore QB Jayden Daniels now out for the season, the promise the Commanders flashed last year has been put on hold for at least another nine months.

Since dismantling the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, the Eagles have had issues of their own in the 2025 season (the most recent episode of Hard Knocks: In Season with the NFC East was depressing). Philadelphia was riding their own three-game losing streak before manhandling the hapless Raiders last weekend, and while a second-straight NFC East title is all but sewn up, few are taking the Eagles seriously as back-to-back contenders. They’ll look to change that with a dominant win over Washington, followed by a great playoff tune-up game against the Bills in Week 17.

Fantasy Players to Watch in Eagles-Commanders

Saquon Barkley - RB, Eagles - If you’ve made it this far in the fantasy season with Saquon as one of your starting running backs, congratulations. A year after rushing for over 2,000 yards, Barkley has looked like a shell of himself…except when he’s breaking off patented long touchdown runs like the 52-yarder he hit against the Chargers. While it’s difficult to predict his performance, he’s at least getting more carries in recent weeks, a trend that figures to continue if Philly gets out to a commanding lead.

Terry McLaurin - WR, Commanders - Due to injury, the “scariest” thing about Terry McLaurin this season has been how much time he’s spent on the bench. But if you stashed him on your bench in the hopes of a return during the fantasy playoffs, your prayers have been answered. Similar to the situational upside of Saquon, the Commanders could be looking to lean on McLaurin and the pass game if they fall behind. The biggest question is if backup QB Marcus Mariota can deliver him the ball.

Eagles-Commanders Odds

According to DraftKings, the Eagles are currently 6.5-point favorites over the Commanders. The Over/Under line is 44.5 points.
