Capital One’s The Match is back featuring legends Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers versus superstars Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. Brady and Rodgers faced off in ‘The Match IV’ with professional golfers as their partners. Rodgers and Bryson DeChambeau took down TB12 and Phil Mickelson 3&2 at The Reserve at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana.
This time, no pros will be out on the links. The NFL’s most popular QB's will try to take home bragging rights. Will the old stalwarts of Brady and Rodgers let their young foes know that the gridiron isn’t the only place they can’t be beaten? Or will they pass the torch to the next generation of QB’s on the links and the football field? Here is what you need to know and how to watch ‘The Match’:
Date: Wednesday, June 1
Time: 6:30pm ET
Where: Wynn Golf Club - Las Vegas, Nevada
Channel: TNT (Sling Blue or Orange)
Rules: Over 12 holes, the teams will play an alternate-shot match play event. This means the partners will take turns hitting the same ball throughout the match. All four players will hit tee shots and teams will alternate shots from that point on. For example, if TB12 hits a poor tee shot, but Aaron Rodgers stepped up and hit the fairway, their team would play A-Rod’s ball, and Brady would hit the 2nd shot. The team with the best score on the hole wins the hole.
