How to Watch Alabama-Georgia With Sling

One of the best rivalries in college football, Alabama-Georgia once again face off for another high-stakes game this weekend. Here’s how to watch the game with Sling.

There are dozens of great rivalries across college football, but few are as consistently high-stakes as Alabama-Georgia. Every year, fans of the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs expect to contend for a national championship, and nearly as often, this game decides if that dream will come true. Whether squaring off in the regular season or facing each other in the SEC Championship, the Alabama-Georgia rivalry is the stuff of college football legend.

This year’s showdown – scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27 at 7:30pm ET in Athens, GA – is no different. After a stunning loss to open the season, the Crimson Tide look a little vulnerable. But in the ultra-competitive SEC, they can get back on track with a win against No. 5 Georgia. Here’s a preview of what to expect, along with full details on how to watch the game with Sling.

Another year, another massive Alabama vs Georgia matchup (unfortunately, this will be at the same time as Oregon-Penn State). ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum went as far to say this is a playoff elimination game for Alabama should they lose. Both teams were idle last week, giving them more time to prepare for what’s always a can’t-miss game. Alabama started the season with a loss to Florida State but rebounded with easy wins over UL Monroe and Wisconsin. Georgia is coming off a thriller in Knoxville, which has us feeling like they should be able to take care of business Saturday. This is a huge game for ‘Bama head coach Kalen DeBoer. If he and quarterback Ty Simpson can get the job done in Athens, it’ll change the perception of his tenure in Tuscaloosa. This is the seventh time in the last 16 seasons that the Crimson Tide will enter a game as an underdog. Alabama will hope they can replicate the offensive success that Tennessee had against the Bulldogs’ defense. But with a week off, you have to think that Kirby Smart will have addressed some of the issues on a unit that he prides himself on. Last year, Georgia’s wide receivers struggled to make an impact, but USC transfer Zachariah Branch has been an elite playmaker for the Dawgs and QB Gunner Stockton has proved he is more than capable of leading his team. Sanford Stadium is going to be electric on Saturday night.
