Hilarious Egyptian Comedies: The Hassan Hosny & Ahmad Helmy Duo
For 20 years, Hassan Hosny and Ahmad Helmy have appeared in more than six Egyptian comedies through which they’ve left their mark on cinematic history. As they rocketed to success, each actor regarded the other as their good luck charm.
From 1999 to 2019, the duo entertained audiences by playing off each other’s antics in various comedic roles. The following are the most celebrated among their Arabic Movies:
Al Nather
In this 2000 movie, Salah, the protagonist inherits a school after his father’s death and lets Sayed (Hassan Hosny), his deputy, take charge.
Meanwhile, with the help of his girlfriend, Wafaa, and two friends, Atef (Ahmed Helmy) and Lemby (Mohamed Saad), Salah works on overcoming his trust issues and need to prove himself by getting out of his father’s shadow.

Mido Mashakel

His constant fall into many troubles earn him the title “Mido the Troublemaker.”
