Where to Watch 'South Park' Season 29
Fresh off an Emmy win, ‘South Park’ returns for season 29. Here’s how to watch new episodes with Sling.
In solidarity with President Trump – who recently renamed Lake Ontario “Lake America” – South Park is rebranding for its upcoming episodes. In an Instagram post, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced that, “Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of South Park to SOUTH AMERICA. We especially want to thank our parent company Paramount — a Skydance Capitulation.”
If there were any doubts about the show skewing President Trump and his political allies in the new season, this announcement put them to rest. South Park recently took home the 2026 Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program for its previous season, which featured a story arc about President Trump having an affair with, impregnating, then cheating on, Satan. What celebrities will they mercilessly mock in season 29? We’ll find out when the new season premieres Wednesday September 16. Here’s everything you need to know to watch new South America episodes with Sling.

Other ‘South Park’ News
In other South Park news, Parker and Stone recently issued an apology for the delay of an upcoming movie they’ve been working on with hip-hop superstar Kendrick Lamar. The film, which has a working title of “Whitney Springs,” apparently “revolves around a historical slave plantation museum in the Midwest and a young Black re-enactor who lashes out at tourists and clashes with the town’s hypocritical, racist mayor, played by Parker,” according to The Ankler. “Whitney Springs” – which was co-produced by pgLang, the creative house started by Lamar and director Dave Free – reportedly went into production in the summer of 2024 and originally had a release date of July 4, 2025. But in the midst of Paramount’s attempted acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, the film has been entirely removed from Paramount’s upcoming film schedule.
In a statement to The Ankler, Parker and Stone shouldered the blame for the film’s issues. “We take full responsibility for the schedule delay of this movie,” Stone and Parker told The Ankler. “We apologize to our partners at pgLang and Paramount and we appreciate their patience. South Park and life’s circumstances have gotten in the way but we still believe in the project.”
