How to Watch ‘Bob’s Burgers’ with Sling

Ahead of the Season 16 premiere, here’s how to watch both new and classic episodes of ‘Bob’s Burgers’ with Sling.

When it returns this fall for its new season, Bob’s Burgers will cross the 300 episode mark. In terms of adult animation, that puts it in elite company: The only four series with more episodes are The Simpsons (790 episodes), Family Guy (444), American Dad! (388), and South Park (332).

When a show has an episode count numbering in the hundreds, that also means you can probably find older episodes in a few different locations. That’s the case here too: Although Bob’s Burgers remains a mom-and-pop (and their kids’) restaurant in the show, it’s set up multiple locations across the TV landscape. So whether you’re a diehard fan hungering for new episodes or want to try a bite of the old ones first, here’s your guide to watching Bob’s Burgers with Sling.

‘Bob’s Burgers’ Characters

If you can read the title of the show, you can already know the name of the main character - Bob Belcher, voiced by H. Jon Benjamin. If the voice of Bob sounds familiar, that’s because Benjamin also portrays another adult animation all-star, Archer Sterling from the long-running FX comedy Archer (before you ask - there was indeed a crossover). The rest of the main cast is filled out by other members of the Belcher family: Bob’s wife Linda (John Roberts), their eldest daughter Tina (Dan Mintz) – yes, they’re both voiced by men – middle son Gene (Eugene Mirman), and youngest daughter Louise (Kristen Schaal). Bob’s best friend Teddy (Larry Murphy) fills out the main cast of the series.

As you might expect from a show that’s nearing 300 episodes, a number of supporting characters make regular appearances, including school counselor Mr. Frond (David Herman); Tina’s friend Zeke (Bobby Tisdale); Mort (Andy Kindler) owner of It’s Your Funeral Home & Crematorium next door to Bob’s Burgers; and Regular Sized Rudy (Brian Huskey), a classmate of Louise. Other well-known stars who have had recurring roles on the series include Sarah Silverman as Ollie, Jenny Slate as Tammy, and Oscar-winner Kevin Kline as wealthy and eccentric landlord Mr. Fischoeder.

Best ‘Bob's Burgers’ Episodes

Much like the proclamations from the Moody Foodie restaurant critic, the term “Best” is highly subjective. However, IMDB’s list of top-rated episodes provides aggregated insights based on user reviews. According to that list, here are the top 10 Bob’s Burgers episodes:

Considering it’s the top-rated episode in the show’s history, the clear answer here is “The Plight Before Christmas.” But Bob’s Burgers has an annual history of hilarious Christmas episodes, including “The Last Gingerbreadhouse of the Left,” “Yachty or Nice,” and “Better off Sled.”
