The Wimbledon bracket was set on Friday, June 27. On the men’s side, World No. 1 Jannik Sinner will face fellow Italian Luca Nardi in his opening round matchup. As mentioned above, No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz will open the tournament against Fabio Fognini, while No. 6 Novak Djokovic – who is attempting to tie Roger Federer’s record eight Wimbledon singles titles – will open Wimbledon against Alexandre Muller. The host nation Britain has 23 players in the singles brackets, their most since 1984. Fourth-seeded Jack Draper carries their biggest hopes, but he’ll have a tough task to make it to the Final, as his draw has him potentially facing Djokovic, Sinner, then Alcaraz in the last three rounds.
As for the ladies draw, No. 1 overall seed Aryna Sabalenka opens the tournament against Canadian qualifier Carson Branstine. No. 2 Coco Gauff takes on Dayana Yastremska, while defending women’s champion Barbora Krejcikova takes on Alexandra Eala in the first round. No. 3 Jessica Pegula will play Italian qualifier Elisabetta Cocciaretto and fourth seed (and last year’s runner-up) Jasmine Paolini takes on Latvian Anastasija Sevastova.
What Are the Odds for Wimbledon?
As of the Friday before the tournament, Carlos Alcaraz (+120) has the best odds on the men’s side. He’s followed by Sinner at +200, Djokovic at +650, and Jack Draper at +1800. On the women’s side, Sabalenka is the favorite with +260 odds, followed by Elena Rybakina at +600, Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff at +800, and Mirra Andreeva and Marketa Vondrousova at +1600.
