How to Watch the USMNT Friendly vs Oman

The United States Men’s National team will play the second and final match of the international break vs Oman at Allianz Field in Minnesota.

The international break comes to an end this week as the United States Men’s National team (USMNT) welcomes Oman to Minnesota. The U.S. beat Uzbekistan 3-0 in their first friendly of the break, with Timothy Weah opening the scoring early, and then Ricardo Pepi and Christian Pulisic adding two goals in the last 5 minutes. The score didn’t tell the true story, as the U.S. didn’t look threatening against a team they’re far more talented than. What made the performance concerning was that the US fielded an extremely strong team and struggled to provide a consistent threat offensively. It was also Greg Berhalter’s first game officially back as manager of the USMNT, after his contract expired in December. Six months later in June, U.S. Soccer made the decision to bring Berhalter back through the 2026 World Cup.

It will be interesting to see who Berhalter shuffles into the lineup vs Oman. There’s plenty of young talent that deserve to get a look in this friendly. Fans have wanted to see more of Luca de La Torre who started vs Uzbekistan, but players like Malik Tillman, Mark McKenzie, and Cade Cowell should look to get more run this time around. The team also announced on Monday that New England Revolution defender DeJuan Jones was added to the roster for Tuesday’s match against Oman. Jones replaces Joe Scalley, who left camp for family reasons. Following four appearances in the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup, this will be Jones’ sixth cap for the U.S.
