NFL RedZone Free Preview: Best Games of Week 3
NFL RedZone will be in free preview for all Sling Blue and Orange subscribers on Sept. 24. Here are the best games of Week 3.
Week 3 is a critical junction of the NFL season. For 0-2 teams like the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers, and Minnesota Vikings, a loss this week could put them in a hole too deep to dig out of. For 2-0 teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, and Miami Dolphins, a win in Week 3 would give them breathing room in ultra-competitive divisions that will likely come down to the final weeks of the season.
All six of those teams will be playing Sunday afternoon in Week 3, so you can catch the biggest plays from their games on NFL RedZone, which will be available in free preview for all Sling Blue and Orange subscribers on Sunday, September 24. With rapid-fire highlights from every game played in the 1:00pm and 4:00pm windows, NFL RedZone gifts fans with seven hours of whip-around coverage every Sunday throughout the regular season.
Here’s a preview of three of the 12 games you can expect host Scott Hanson to toss to during the NFL RedZone free preview this Sunday. To watch NFL RedZone all season long, add the Sports Extras pack to your Sling Blue subscription today!

Denver Broncos (0-2) at Miami Dolphins (2-0) - 1:00pm ET

A matchup between two teams who are heading in opposite directions. Although new head coach Sean Payton has helped turn around Denver’s offense—the most surprising stat of the season might be that the winless Broncos are leading the NFL in points-per-possession—Russell Wilson and the Broncos dropped their first two games to the Raiders and Commanders, at home no less. Miami, meanwhile, is 2-0, and QB Tua Tagovailoa and WR Tyreek Hill look like early season MVP candidates. Denver is desperate, so expect some creativity from Payton, as well as his counterpart Mike McDaniel, who is quickly becoming one of the league’s more interesting playcallers.
Los Angeles Chargers (0-2) at Minnesota Vikings (0-2) - 1:00pm ET
Both of these teams made the playoffs last year, but whoever loses this game will have a tough road to get back. Although the Kirk Cousins-Justin Jefferson connection has picked up where it left off last season, the Vikings D hasn’t been able to make stops in the big moments, which led to a close loss to the Bucs in Week 1, before getting hammered by the Eagles in the season premiere of Thursday Night Football. Similar issues have plagued the Chargers, who fell short in a barnburner to the Dolphins to open the season before losing to the Titans in overtime last week. Minnesota’s home field advantage could be the difference, but regardless, we have a feeling that Scott Hanson will be tossing to a LOT of highlights from this game, which features two of the league’s more explosive offenses.
Dallas Cowboys (2-0) at Arizona Cardinals (0-2) - 4:25pm ET

Oddly, there are no matchups between winning teams in this week’s NFL RedZone, so our final spotlight falls on the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals. The Cowboys look like one of the NFL’s best teams on both sides of the ball, and as NFL.com points out, they now have, “their best scoring margin through two games since the 1970 merger.” Despite their winless record, Arizona was competitive in both their games against the Commanders and Giants. They’ll finish their NFC East trifecta with a home game against Dallas; if it’s anything like their first two games, expect a wild finish.
