Now fans will get a close-up preview of the ‘Hawks as they prepare to do it all again.
Seattle takes the spotlight in the 2026 edition of perennial NFL favorite Hard Knocks, which premieres Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 9 PM ET on HBO and HBO Max. This marks the first time the Seahawks will appear on the series, and it will be the first time since the show’s debut in 2001 that Hard Knocks will follow the defending Super Bowl champions. Three Storylines to Look For in 'Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Seattle Seahawks'
Offensive line continuity and the battle at running back: While Seattle returns 86.9% of its offensive and defensive players from last year's championship team, they entered camp with one major hole: the need to replace starting running back and Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III, who signed with the Chiefs in free agency. First-round rookie Jadarian Price has quickly emerged as an early star at training camp, showcasing his abilities as an explosive runner, pass-catcher, and pass-protector to overtake George Holani as the clear RB1.
Whoever wins the RB battle will run behind an offensive line that’s returning all five starters from last season—Charles Cross, Grey Zabel, Anthony Bradford, Abe Lucas, and Jalen Sundell. Seattle is hoping their established chemistry will limit the learning curve as the offense integrates a new scheme under offensive coordinator Brian Fleury, who is replacing new Las Vegas Raiders coach Klint Kubiak.

The impending $9.6 billion ownership change: The Seahawks are entering a new chapter in franchise history, as the estate of late owner Paul G. Allen has agreed to sell the team to technology entrepreneurs Vinod, Neeru, and Neal Khosla. The NFL's 32 team owners are scheduled to vote on approving the massive $9.6 billion sale on August 26, so, assuming it’s finalized, Hard Knocks could provide the first up-close look at the NFL’s newest ownership group.
New additions and depth chart battles: While established veterans like 2025 NFL AP Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba (four years, $168.6 million) and OT Charles Cross (four years, $104.4 million) got nice extensions in the offseason, Seattle was not able to retain other stars like Walker, edge rusher Boye Mafe, and defensive backs Tariq (Riq) Woolen and Coby Bryant.
To help plug those gaps, Seattle signed pass rusher Dante Fowler Jr., cornerback Noah Igbinoghene, and safeties Rodney Thomas and D'Anthony Bell. Getting them integrated into the offense will be one of the primary tasks of training camp, and they figure to be featured prominently in Hard Knocks.
