How to Stream Davis vs. Romero on Sling TV
Unbeaten fighters clash when Gervonta “Tank” Davis takes on Rolando Romero. Here's how to stream with Sling.
With high-profile and classic fights featuring Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez, and others, boxing has seen a major resurgence in the past 12 months. This weekend’s fight should continue that trend. Gervonta “Tank” Davis (26-0-0) is building a resume that would place him among the best lightweight boxers of his generation. With a win, Rolando Romero (14-0-0) could claim his own place in that pantheon. Legacy is but one of the stakes when Davis and Romero clash at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Saturday, May 28 at 9pm ET/6pm PT on Pay-Per-View.
You can order the fight for $74.99 here on Sling TV. Here’s a closer look at what should be a brutal battle of lightweights.

“Tank” Davis has one of the most apt nicknames in all of boxing; the 27-year-old southpaw has won 24 of his 26 professional bouts by knockout. Although he’s known for his power punches, Davis proved in his last match—a unanimous decision over Isaac Cruz in December—that he can grind out a longer fight if needed.
Regardless of the outcome, Davis is planning on turning the page following his fight with Romero, as he confirmed this week that this will be his last fight with Mayweather Promotions. Despite the split, both Davis and Floyd Mayweather have said there’s no ill-will toward each other, with Mayweather saying that he looks at Davis, “like a son,” and Davis emphasizing that, “I need to be the one to control my career.”
“It’s nothing that I have bad blood with Mayweather Promotions,” Davis told Brian Custer, according to SB Nation. “I’m definitely appreciative of what they’ve done for me over the years and there’s no love lost. It’s just time for me to grow up and be my own man.”
Rolando With the Punches

24-year-old Rolando Romero is eager to assume Davis’ place in Mayweather’s stable of fighters. Not only has he inherited Mayweather’s panache – he had some very unkind words for Davis in a recent media session at Mayweather Boxing Club – but like Money, Romero has the talent to back up his boasts. Specifically, Romero is a devastating puncher; in an interview with PBC, he compared himself to Deontay Wilder and an in-his-prime Gennady Golovkin when it comes to the hardest punchers in the sport.
Although Rolly has undeniable power—like Davis, he’s won all but two of his fights by KO—his style is still a little bit raw and awkward. Because of this, look for Romero (and Davis, for that matter) to come out swinging in search of an early KO.
Odds and Undercard

As of Wednesday, the odds on DraftKings are Davis -1100, Romero +650 (in other words, a $100 bet on Romero would win you $650, while you’d need to lay $1100 on Davis to win $100). Although the odds have been tightening up, the sharps clearly think Davis will emerge victorious.
There are two additional fights on the undercard. First up, Jesus Alejandro Ramos (17-0-0) will take on super welterweight Luke Santamaria (13-2-1) in a 10-round fight. That will be followed by a bout between WBA middleweight title-holder Erislandy “The American Dream” Lara (28-3-3) and Gary “Spike” O’Sullivan (31-4-0), an entertaining Irish fighter whose curled handlebar mustache recalls classic fighters like John L. Sullivan.
