Sling TV is thrilled to introduce the addition of its newest channel, NHK World-Japan, which was added to its Sling Free service on October 27, 2022. NHK World-Japan (formerly known as NHK World) offers viewers a wide variety of English-language content from a Japanese and Asian perspective 24 hours a day.
As Japan’s only public broadcaster, NHK created NHK World-Japan as a means of extending its unique programming to international audiences. NHK World-Japan has a largely educational and informational focus, dedicated to serving global communities unbiased news and enriching documentary-style content. Tune in for live hourly news updates from both Tokyo and New York, as well as shows on science, history, travel, sports and food. NHK World-Japan also offers the “NHK Drama Showcase,” which has become an international sensation among fans of J-series, airing a wide selection of Japanese comedies, romances, sci-fis and more.
