THE ENTERTAINER IS HERE!
The wait for the biggest limited-overs cricket festival is about to end! The Tata India Premier League 2022 starts March 26. The much-anticipated 'IPL MEGA AUCTION' provided a perfect launch pad in creating the hype and giving cricket fans around the world something ‘extra’ to watch out for this season.
IPL Mega Auction wasn't the only factor that gifted the 2022 edition of the Tata Indian Premier League with novelty. This season will welcome two new teams, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants, as well as two of India’s most explosive players, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul, who are also close friends off the field, as skippers of the respective teams.
WHO TO WATCH?
The TATA IPL 2022 promises to be an edge-of-the-seat experience. Ishan Kishan (MI) has to be the center of attention after securing a price tag of $2m, making him the most expensive player of this season.
Right on his tail are Deepak Chahar ($1.5m to CSK), Shreyas Iyer ($1.3m to KKR), Shardul Thakur ($1.4m to DC), among the others. Liam Livingston was sold for $1.2m to Punjab Kings, making him the most expensive overseas player.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
The nature of the Tata IPL 2022 has made it synonymous with explosive cricket married with all the action and drama. Tata IPL 2022 enjoys a reputation of being nothing short of pure entertainment! The fact that the tournament is back on Indian soil makes it much more interesting.
The 2020 and the 2021 (partial) editions of IPL had to be hosted in the UAE, due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in India. TATA IPL 2022 is expected to break its own viewership records this year, as the reach of the sport continues expanding beyond national borders.
