We recently asked Sling Nation a simple question on Twitter: What is the most underrated TV show? The answers came in hot. Or, we should say, WayHaught.
Fans of SYFY’s Wynnona Earp came out in full force to voice their support for the show, which aired its season 4 (and possibly series) finale on Friday. The episode featured the long-awaited wedding between Waverly Earp (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) and Nicole Haught (Katherine Barrell) aka WayHaught, and wrapped up the storyline of Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano) and Doc Holliday (Tim Rozon) in a way that past season finales haven’t. Still, creator, executive producer and writer Emily Andras has said she has “a million ideas” on where the show could go from here, leaving fans hopeful it could continue elsewhere. And clearly, Earpers are hungering for more Wynonna.
As a special treat for the show’s fans, we found this long-lost clip from the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con in which Andras spoke about the importance of fans to the show’s success. It’s a little bittersweet in light of the show’s finale, but it’s also clear that it wouldn’t even have made it to its fourth season without the passionate support of its followers. Wynonna has already risen from the dead in the show, now the fans are doing their best to #BringWynonnaHome.
