We present the stakes, and firsts, and tell a visually spectacular and dramatic story — a story that inspires the next generation of explorers and adventurers committed to protecting and preserving our oceans.” The six-part mini-series premieres on August 18.

The newest Beyblade spin-off (pun intended), Beyblade X premiered in July on Disney XD. The latest iteration of the franchise is based on a popular manga in CoroCoroComic, here’s the synopsis:

Amateur Blader Robin Kazami finds himself out of a team when he is ditched by his friends after a crushing defeat. Lucky for him, a chance encounter with former champ Jaxon Cross leads these two unlikely teammates to join forces. Jaxon intends to climb back to the top of The X under the alias “Blader X” and challenge his old teammate and current champ, Khrome Ryugu. When they find a third team member in mega-popular influencer Multi Nana-iro, the newly-formed Team Persona set their sights on going pro and claiming their spot at the top.

New episodes of Beyblade X premiere on Saturdays.

Disney XD’s other big new show in August is the first season of Primos, a new animated series from Emmy Award-nominated creator and executive producer Natasha Kline (Big City Greens). Based on Kline’s experiences growing up in LA in the ‘90s, Primos centers on “Tater Ramirez Humphrey, an eccentric girl who has big dreams for her future and just one summer to figure them all out. When her mom throws a wrench in her plans by inviting all 12 of her cousins to visit, Tater braces for the worst – only to find herself having the best summer of her life. Tater and her dreams flourish, surrounded by a family who may not always understand her, but who love and support her for exactly who she is.”

Select episodes of Primos are now available on-demand, with new episodes premiering Saturdays in August.
