What is the new season of Sistas about?
According to a press release from BET, “Season 9 of Sistas pushes the ladies further to the edge than ever before in their friendships and personal lives.” The press release teases that “hardships and huge changes will rattle them, but will it destroy the sister’s circle? These ladies were built to handle the tough things in life, and they’ll really need to lean on one another to make it through this season.”
The first episode of Season 9 is titled “No Time To Wait” and here’s the description:
“The Sistas must put their current individual problems and traumas aside when they learn something is wrong with Karen's pregnancy. It's a mad dash to the hospital in a city recovering from a blackout.”
Who is in the Cast of Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 9?
The returning cast of Sistas includes KJ Smith as Andrea "Andi" Barnes, Mignon Von as Daniella "Danni" King, Ebony Obsidian as Karen Mott, Novi Brown as Sabrina Hollins, Crystal Renee Hayslett as Fatima Wilson-Taylor, Angela Beyince as Pamela "Pam" Malbrough, Devale Ellis as Zac Taylor, Chido Nwokocha as Gary Marshall Borders, Brian Jordan Jr. as Maurice Webb, and Kevin A. Walton as Aaron Carter.
According to Deadline, new additions to the cast in season 9 include Darone Okolie (All American, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty), Walnette Marie Santiago (Doom Patrol, BMF), and Sullivan Jones (The Gilded Age, Harlem).

In addition to crossover episodes featuring characters from other Tyler Perry shows, there are two spin-offs in the Sistas universe. The first series was Zatima, which stars Devale Ellis and Crystal Renee Hayslett as the titular couple. Zatima premiered in 2022 and was recently renewed for a fourth season. The second Sistas spin-off premiered on BET+ just last month: Divorced Sistas is set to wrap up the first half of its debut season on July 24.
