From Post Malone to Joey Fatone: The Best ‘Impractical Jokers’ Celebrity Guest Stars
With ‘Impractical Jokers’ season 13 right around the corner, we put together this list of our favorite celebrity guests to appear on the prank show.
People love watching people pull pranks (getting pranked is a different story; people generally don’t love that). For proof beyond your Tik Tok or Instagram feeds, look no further than TBS’ Impractical Jokers, which returns for its 13th season on Thursday, July 23 at 10:00 PM ET. According to a press release, last season was the show’s “highest rated season ever in its 15-year history and currently ranks as the #1 original series on cable this year in key adult demos.”

Impractical Jokers season 13 will continue its recent tradition of incorporating guest stars into the pranks, a practice that has resulted in some of the best Impractical Jokers episodes to date. Since original Joker Joe Gatto left the series in 2021 to focus on his family life, guest stars have stepped into the spotlight on Impractical Jokers, either to assist in the pranks/punishments or occasionally, to suffer themselves.
With a “cringe-inducing surprise guest star” on tap for season 13, now’s the perfect time to look back on the big names who have joined Q, Murr, and Sal to execute pranks and dish out punishments. The Definitive Ranking of the Best 'Impractical Jokers' Celebrity Guests
Since Rosie O’Donnell became the first celebrity to appear on the show in season 2, Impractical Jokers has featured around 100 celebrity guest appearances in its first 12 seasons. While everyone from fellow comedians to musicians and actors have appeared on the show, the most frequent guest isn’t someone you’d think. Former The Wonder Years star and holiday movie icon Danica McKellar has appeared on the show in three seasons, including a memorable season 4 episode when Murr interviewed her while donning nothing more than an American flag speedo and a comic amount of body building grease.
Still, there’s only one celebrity who has the distinction of serving as the “unofficial fifth member” of the comedy troupe.
Joey Fatone

The former *NSYNC singer has a longstanding relationship with The Tenderloins, having appeared on six different seasons of the show, and even hosting the spin-off aftershow Impractical Jokers: After Party.
But in the guest star-loaded 10th season of the show, Fatone truly earned his stripes by subjecting himself to multiple punishments from past seasons. These included a novocaine shot in his mouth as he attempted to host a TV dance party and immortalizing the day by getting a permanent tattoo that reads “Joey Fartone's Dance Party.” When it comes to the question of the best celebrity guest on Impractical Jokers, Fatone has earned the right to say “It’s Gonna Be Me.”
Eric Andre
Andre’s physical and fearless brand of comedy has made him a natural favorite of the trio of Jokers. His first appearance on the show in season 9, which came in the first episode after Joe Gatto left the show, featured Andre feeding Sal lines as he attempted to get people to sign releases for a prank show entitled Dumb F**ks.
They upped the Andre the following season when he played the “good clown” to Sal’s “bad clown” during a visit to the mall. And by “bad clown” we mean calling himself the “Chlamydia Clown” and asking small children who their parents voted for in the last election. Even Pennywise probably worried they were giving clowns a bad name.
Colin Jost

Fun fact: Casey Jost, brother of SNL legend Colin Jost, is an Executive Producer on the show. Like the Jokers, the Jost brothers are also proud Staten Island natives. So the show was always able to pull the Jost card, and when they did, the setup was truly hilarious. Like the show’s best pranks, the banal setup – Q in a spelling contest with a kid – harbors a darkly hilarious twist: when he misspells a word, an attack dog has been trained to maul Q, making the prank both sick, sick!, and sic. Booke Shields
If there’s a Harley Quinn to the three Jokers, it’s probably Brooke Shields. The actress has appeared on multiple episodes of the series and is married to Chris Henchy, who directed Impractical Jokers: The Movie. She first appeared in the season 9 finale, where she helped pitch questionable children’s fashions to a panel of skeptical critics, then hosted a reverse Dating Game where the guys competed to not get chosen by the eligible bachelorette. She returned two seasons later during a challenge where the Jokers splashed water at employees in a pizza restaurant. Shields is beautiful, talented, and funny, traits that the Jokers probably use to describe themselves.
Post Malone
He’s not just one of the biggest musical stars of the past 10 years; Post Malone is a self-described “super fan” who has been watching Impractical Jokers since he was around 15. He was able to guest on the show in season 10, where he pretended to “hotbox” a woman’s car, then left Q alone to clear the smoke with the customer. As always, Posty comes off as charming and sweethearted, and his genuine love for the Jokers was on full display throughout his guest appearance.

While there are likely to be several guest spots over the season, the only one confirmed so far is Sal’s lifelong crush: Alyssa Milano. Details around the actress’ appearance are still unknown, but it’s described in a press release as “cringe-inducing,” which sounds like bad news for Sal and comedy gold for the rest of us. Over the course of the new season, expect the Jokers to “pose as diner managers, dating etiquette instructors, aggrieved focus group attendees, forgetful dog owners, robotics engineers, and even scheming corpses at a funeral parlor.”
