Have you ever felt left out because you completely forgot to watch the big game or event that everyone is talking about? We’ve all been there, so today Sling TV is introducing a new Spotlight feature to highlight must-see programming within your Sling TV subscription, making it easy to watch and record the most popular live TV events — without having to search for them.
In the days leading up to live, high-profile events, Slingers using Android TV and Amazon Fire TV devices will start to see a banner on the “Sports” screen within the Sling TV app. Users can save an event to their favorites directly from the banner and visit the “Details” page to schedule a recording for later. If the marquee event is already in progress, subscribers can click on the banner to watch it in real time.
Launching just in time for the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, users can tune in for all of the high-flying action between Team LeBron and Team Giannis on TNT this Sunday, February 16 at 8 p.m. EST. Major sporting events to be featured on Spotlight in the future include the NCAA Tournament, the 2020 NBA Playoffs, the 146th Kentucky Derby, Wimbledon, 2020 Summer Olympics and UEFA EURO 2020.
