Earlier this week, I posed the apparently rhetorical question of whether Twitter is done being a punchline -- and I say "apparently rhetorical" because David Letterman has basically spent this week mocking the service on "The Late Show." He's done some tweeting on the show's official Twitter feed, @Late_Show, but one suspects that he is doing it under protest. Above, in a special preview for tonight's new episode, Letterman discusses the question of interacting with one's followers with guest Mindy Kaling (a.k.a. @mindykaling), an actress, writer, and now director on NBC's "The Office." But there's so much more! See all the week's Twitter mockery after the jump -- and remember, it's only Wednesday!
continue reading"Clean House" -- which outlines the concept of "Clutter-itis," above -- was one of the first reality series to profile people who have a hard time keeping their homes tidy. That A&E's "Hoarders" and the new TLC series "Hoarding: Buried Alive" are apparently experiencing no shortage of participants suggests that the problem of extreme clutter is not going away. And if the TV landscape can support three reality shows on the subject, there's probably room for more. After the jump, editors Julie Klausner and Tara Ariano bring you a look at the reality pitches currently under review at the networks.*
*They're not really under review; we made them up.

You might date the end of the Late Night Wars from Conan's last episode of "The Tonight Show"...or Jay Leno's second first episode of "The Tonight Show." You may also find yourself musing on the question of who won or lost said Late Night Wars as you watch the clip above, in which Leno's time-slot rivals Jimmy Kimmel and David Letterman discuss their shared antagonist on last night's episode of "The Late Show." The rest of last night's late-night highlights are after the jump.

Would it surprise you to learn that "St. Patrick's Day," last week's new episode of "The Office," could have been even cringier than it was? Well, two deleted scenes prove that it's true. Above, Oscar tries to explain to Michael why he shouldn't have booked a trip to Tallahassee based on Jo's casual friendliness; after the jump, see more of Jo's warmth with the Scranton team -- and, unfortunately, the moment that Michael's ignorance of hints both gentle and pointed requires Gabe to get involved.

It doesn't take a news junkie to notice that there are quite a few members of the Senate and House of Representatives having a tough time of it in the media lately. But in case you somehow HAVE missed it, "The Daily Show" covered the latest offenders last night, in its wrap-up of Crumbums and Fatcats, above. The rest of last night's late-night highlights are after the jump.

Here's why you should follow "Community" creator Dan Harmon on Twitter: on March 5, when he got the news that the show had been renewed for a second season, he took his iPhone into the makeup trailer and made the video above, telling the cast the news. Keep your eye on Yvette Nicole Brown; it takes her a few seconds to process what he's told her. It's kind of adorable.
In its short life, the microblogging service Twitter has been the butt of many a joke, from the Twitter Tracker on Conan O'Brien's (short-lived) "Tonight Show" to...well, last night's episode of "The Simpsons." But if even O'Brien himself has come around on Twitter, is it time for the rest of pop culture to catch up? After all, there is evidence that Twitter can actually facilitate positive change in the world. Find out how after the jump.

Last night's episode of "Community" featured a very special guest star in "American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee -- but what would we put on her report card? We grade "Basic Genealogy" after the jump.

People probably have lots of reasons not to visit Florida. And when I say "people," I mean "people other than me," because hello, Disney World. But on last night's episode of "The Colbert Report," Stephen addressed the latest reason to avoid the state: monkey on the lam! See it above; the rest of last night's late-night highlights are after the jump.

There's no excuse for you not to know about Jerry Seinfeld's new unscripted TV show, "The Marriage Ref": he talked it up last week on "The Late Show," he was on "Live with Regis and Kelly" this morning, and last night, he stopped by "The Daily Show." See the interview above; the rest of last night's late-night highlights are after the jump.
