"Reno 911!" Cancelled

Reno PD's Lt. Dangle: Gettin' too old for this s***?

Bad news from the Twittersphere. Last night, "Reno 911" creator and star Thomas Lennon posted the following:

"Reno 911! was cancelled at 1:30 pm today. Won't be wearing the shorts again."

The shorts to which he refers, of course, are that sporty pair flaunted by Lieutenant Jim Dangle for the past six seasons on Comedy Central. Lennon has his lucrative screenwriting career to fall back on. But who's gonna keep Terry in check?

Terry's Lost Skate: Meth Use Is Serious (but Fictional Meth Use Is Hilarious)
June 9th 2009 at 2:57pm by TaraAriano

Above, to whet your appetite for tomorrow's new episode of "Reno 911!," the hands-down best moment of last week's episode: Terry (Nick Swardson) tearfully telling the cops he's been murdered. Of course, the story takes a turn from there, as it generally does with Terry, but Lt. Dangle uses it as a teachable moment and directs us to investigate the damage meth use can do (worse, even, than what Terry has experienced) by visiting Faces Of Meth. And dude, he is not kidding around. The images are safe for work, but not so safe if you just ate lunch.
