The drama was flowing like BLOOD on last night's episode of "Grey's Anatomy," which is a show about doctors in a hospital, in case you were thinking my simile wasn't totally genius. First of all, a patient woke up in the middle of surgery, which is nightmare fuel. And guess what? She was hugely pissed about it. Bailey and Meredith got an earful of "Oh, I smelled my own burning flesh" and "Oh, I'm really upset about the thing everybody is most frightened of, except for when it was the Middle Ages and they maybe gave you a bullet before they sawed your leg off." Conan O'Brien had Norm MacDonald on "The Tonight Show" last night, despite MacDonald's last appearance, when the comedian comandeered both the show and the subsequent promos. This time, MacDonald not only hijacked his own interview with hilariously bad "observational humor" and a joke that went on five minutes longer than it should've -- he then steamrolled poor Thomas Haden Church's interview, and even threw out a barb about the actor's purported role in "Open Range."

Church points out that no, he wasn't in Kevin Costner's cowboy movie. But I'd like to remind Mr. Church that he was in "Spider-Man 3," and that he was there to promote "All About Steve" (which looks tremendously bad), so unless he thinks "Sideways" is enough of a trump card, he should probably shouldn't push MacDonald's buttons.

I can’t tell Boone’s Farm from Beaujolais, but “Sideways” was a pretty amazing flick. It was also amazing to listen to Paul Giamatti spout off about grapes. Made me want to become a wine nerd the way “Star Wars” made me want become an X-Wing pilot. The video above starts off a bit into the movie with a fantastic lesson on the basics of wine. It will help you fake your way through any snobby parties you have this weekend. Thomas Haden Church, however, summed up my feelings when he says, “When do we drink it?”
