Now that we've all had time to digest the news that former "Family Ties" star Meredith Baxter is a lesbian. In fact, Baxter's announcement got so much attention that it overshadowed other press appearances by some of her TV-mom peers. Check those out after the jump.

Yeah, right. I WISH it were "My Mother, the Car"!
Actually, the "Transformers" auteur plans to take on an as-yet unpublished young-adult sci-fi novel by one-time Oprah scourge James Frey and another guy. It's called "I Am Number Four," and is about nine aliens disguised as teenagers who flee to Earth after their planet is destroyed.
"Smallville" creators Al Gough and Miles Millar will write the screenplay. There isn't a director attached yet.
Oh yeah: "I Am Number Four" is the first in a planned series of six novels, so get ready for LOTS of sequels.
