Latest posts in from the bullpen
3:33:36 PM Will Edmondson: I know you can't possibly understand what this feels like, Canadian Tara, but I'm proud to live in a country that can spend the GDP of a lesser nation on a big, stupid action movie like "The A-Team."
3:34:26 PM Tara Ariano: I'm proud to have adopted this country as my own! "The A-Team" was great!
I'll give this to you: you know what you like. You voted in our latest Movie Monday poll, and made sure the result was not even close. Check out the results after the jump.

It's back! After a long hiatus, we've decided to return the power to the people and let you vote on the movie Will and I see next Monday. Above, a report on the current returning box-office champ, "Shrek Forever After." But will one of this week's new releases topple it from its perch? More after the jump.

11:56:28 AM Tara Ariano: This week, we took advantage of circumstances to sidestep the democratic process and declare "MacGruber" the winning movie...and good for us. I enjoyed that so much more than I would have enjoyed a fourth "Shrek" movie.
11:59:04 AM Will Edmondson: I've never seen any of the "Shrek" movies, but I was relieved by how silly "MacGruber" was. I was concerned about it after seeing its first weekend box office returns.
No, you didn't miss the poll: due to vacation (on my part) and illness (on Will's), this week got away from us, and we didn't get a chance to post one. But you would've probably just voted for the big-screen adaptation of "MacGruber" anyway, right? Come on, that "Shrek: Forever After" business didn't send any cast members to hang out at "WWE Raw," like "MacGruber" did (that's a tease, above).
So that's what we'll be seeing next week. Come back on Tuesday for our recap! And we promise you'll get to order us around again very soon.
10:32:49 AM Will Edmondson: Tara, there are some movies that exist solely to be ridiculous, and fun, and dumb, and explosiony, wouldn't you agree?
10:33:08 AM Tara Ariano: I certainly would, and thank God they do, or summer would be very boring.
10:36:12 AM Will Edmondson: We'd still have nice weather and sports in the park, and lemonade. Summer is awesome, always. But as far as popcorn movies go, with "Iron Man 2," we knew exactly what to expect, it delivered, and I thought it was pretty good.
You voted, and in a landslide, here are the results of this week's Movie poll:
"Iron Man 2": 64.4%
"Babies": 20%
"A Nightmare on Elm Street": 15.6%
It was looking like it might be "Babies" for a while, but "Iron Man 2" ran away with it in the end. Thanks for playing, "A Nightmare on Elm Street," third prize is you're fired...AGAIN. (Ice burn!) Look for Tara's and my recap of "Iron Man 2" next week. Until then...

Last week you voted for us to recap "How to Train Your Dragon," and now that we've done that, it's time for you to call the shots again. You're the puppetmaster, after the jump.

12:05:57 PM Will Edmondson: After watching "How to Train Your Dragon," how badly do you want a dragon dog?
12:06:36 PM Tara Ariano: If anything could make me want to figure out a way to fit one in my one-bedroom apartment, that movie is it. Maybe that movie could have been cuter, but I'm not sure how.
12:07:24 PM Will Edmondson: It could've been cuter if it was about regular dogs, maybe.
12:07:41 PM Tara Ariano: Perhaps the "Cats & Dogs" sequel later this year will let us test that theory.
12:08:08 PM Will Edmondson: Somehow I doubt it.
The people have spoken once more, and the results of this week's movie poll are:
"How to Train Your Dragon": 46%
"Furry Vengeance": 31%
"A Nightmare on Elm Street": 23%
That's right, your winner is "How to Train Your Dragon." "Furry Vengeance" had a surprising turnout, and thanks for playing, "A Nightmare on Elm Street"! Third prize is you're fired. Look for Tara's and my recap of "How to Train Your Dragon" next week.
