After yesterday's disappointing rendition of the samba to "Why Can't We Be Friends" (see above), Tom Delay will announce during tonight's episode of "Dancing With the Stars" that he is dropping out of the competition due to his injured foot, E! reports. The eldest contestant has been suffering from a "pre-stress fracture" for several weeks, and was advised by physicians to rest. I'm going to ignore the irony of his outfit choice -- which featured the GOP elephant stitched in red sequins on the back of his shirt -- on his night of reckoning. Farewell, Tom. You were, at very least, a skilled entertainer.
