This episode of "White Collar" featured Neal doing what he does best: womanizing. For once, I don't think I heard Kate's name a single time, and while it's obvious that her music box was the reason behind Neal's sudden interest in a former flame named Alex, it was nice to see him getting out there for a change. This episode kicks off with a choirboy and a priest together in a church. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Alas, we're wrong; this is "Bones," not "SVU." The pair smells something burning, and discover a human body in flames on the church's altar! Only...it has horns and a tail, which must mean that Satan himself is a-cooking.
Bones and team come in to investigate. Brennan is obviously a non-believer, while Booth is uneasy about the devilish figure. They bring the body back to the lab and figure out that the horns were artificially implanted; the tail, on the other hand, is actually vestigial, which happens to people from time to time. They find out that a horned man named Neil is missing from a local sanitorium, and they interview his mother (played by Rusty Schwimmer, who I know best as Helen Hunt's mom in "Twister"). "White Collar" took down an international organ-smuggling ring this week with some decidedly illegal moves, not least of which involved tricking a kidney-stealing doctor into thinking he had gone into renal failure in India. How did they pull this off, you might ask? Hit "continue reading."

This week's installment of "White Collar" cleared up any doubts we had about Agent Fowler's "bad guy" status by tying him neatly into a foreclosure scam. Meanwhile, Elizabeth finally met Mozzie; they hit it off, bonding over their shared love of Baccarat vases and pâté. In fact, Mozzie has a number of great scenes in this episode, most notably when he distracts a courier so that Neal can steal an important piece of evidence.
It also appears that Peter and Elizabeth sleep fully clothed, which we witness when they're forced to camp in their living room. Why, you ask? Hit "continue reading."

Big news on last night's "Bones" episode -- the show beat out CBS's venerable "CSI" in the ratings. In addition to kicking ass ratings-wise, Agent Booth got a chance to show off not just one, but two of his skill sets: first of all, the man does a Michael Jackson impression; secondly, we got to see his ninja takedown techniques. It was, all in all, a successful night in terms of him impressing Brennan, who seemed quite taken when he suavely subdued three mysterious government agents.
The plot hinged on some strange suited men putting the lab on overnight lockdown and demanding that the team determine the cause of death of a strange old skeleton. For a dash of added drama, Cam found a pregnancy test in the bathroom (positive!) and freaked out about whose it was. For the full recap, hit "continue reading."

"White Collar" is back! And now on Tuesday! And it turns out that the crazy, cliffhanging sendoff from the last episode wasn't quite as nuts as we thought! The short version: Peter is still one of the good guys which, I must admit, is not really a surprise. Kate, on the other hand, is still a wild card. The episode hinges on a classic bolier room scam for which Neal must go undercover as a sweet-talking broker in a pump-and-dump operation. There's skeet-shooting, a fancy house in the Hamptons, and a bunch of Daryl Hannah lookalikes. For the full recap, hit "continue reading."

The whole "Bones" gang got to take a mini-vacation this week to Roswell, New Mexico, to investigate what appeared to be alien remains found in the desert. There was plenty of the usual Booth/Brennan flirtation, but we didn't get to see any footage from what could have been a highly awkward motel situation. Yes, I have been to Roswell, and I know what kind of establishments they have out there; Hart Hanson really could have taken the sexual tension to the next level, but oh well.
Meanwhile, things heated up between Wendell and Angela, which made Hodgins sad -- especially since, I must add, he still has a tattoo of Angela on his bicep! I'd be upset, too. For the full recap, hit "continue reading."
continue readingAs "White Collar" gears up for the second half of its first season, Matt Bomer talked to Details magazine about his character -- or, well, mainly his character's awesome wardrobe, which apparently includes vintage sharkskin. The interviewer also sneakily asked if Bomer is "bothered by" all of the rumors about his homosexuality, to which Matt replied, "I don't care about that at all. I'm completely happy and fulfilled in my personal life." Which is an excellent answer -- because I don't care if he's gay or not, either.
Personally, I think Matt Bomer is one of the best-looking men on TV these days. I interviewed him in person once, and I practically had to grab his publicist with both hands to avoid toppling forward into his bottomless blue eyes. When gay activist blog Queerty started a pages-long debate back in October about whether Bomer should come out to the media, several people pointed out that he might worry about his appeal to straight women, who make up the bulk of the "White Collar" audience (myself included).
To which I say this: do women lust after Bomer because they actually believe he might make out with them? I have about as high a chance of getting a hot gay actor as a hot straight one, which is to say, no chance at all. If a female viewer doesn't find Bomer attractive because he doesn't find her attractive, then, well, that's a bit silly, no?
Bottom line: I'm looking forward to Neal Caffrey's sexy reunion with his ladylove Kate in the coming months, and I bet I won't be the only jealous woman (or man) in the audience. If he wants to come out to the media, of course that's fine -- but overall, it shouldn't matter one bit. Now, what about this vintage sharkskin...?
"Bones" producer Hart Hanson has spilled the beans to TVGuide that two of the show's regular characters will be getting married during the Season 5 finale this spring. And yes -- "It could be [Booth and Bones]," he said. While this would be a major wrap-up to all of the fruitless flirting they've been doing this season, I doubt they'd kill all that sexual tension with one fell swoop. (David Boreanaz all but confirmed my suspicions -- see after the jump.) Who will the lucky couple be, then?
I have several predictions, three of which are conceivable and one of which is less so (but we can always hope). Of course, there's Sweets and Daisy, who have been going strong for the whole season. Their union would be cute and nerdy, but wouldn't supply much fodder for future plotlines, since their relationship is relatively conflict-free. (Sure, Sweets did smooch that weird nerdy tattooed girl in a tent that one time, but that was an isolated incident and he felt really bad.)
Speaking of tattoos, there's Angela and Hodgins, who do have history and chemistry...and Hodgins does have Angela's face inked on his bicep, which everyone knows is the highest expression of eternal love. Angela's currently involved with their intern, Wendell, so that's a possibility as well. Hit "continue reading" for more hypotheses and Season 5 teasers.

"White Collar" isn't returning for another (almost) three weeks, but USA has already started whetting our palettes for more of Matt Bomer's perfectly-mussed locks. In fact, his hair is the centerpiece of one of the show's new promos, which features multiple shots of his mop, ruffled in the New York breeze (see above). Well, okay, maybe it isn't the main part, but it definitely attracts my attention. We also get some hints about that whole cliffhanger they left us with at the end of the last episode. You know, the part where Agent Peter Burke turns out to be Kate's mysterious, pinky ring-wearing captor? (It goes without saying that the most shocking part of that revelation was the fact that Agent Burke would ever wear a pinky ring, but I guess that's all part of the idea that we really don't know him at all.)
One of the promos (above) reminds us that the show is moving to Tuesday, which is a major improvement from its Friday time slot; the next one is decidedly more juicy. See it after the jump.
