Oh my God, you guys, what is UP with Brenda's BOOB?! Find out in the latest installment of The Great Rewatch of "Beverly Hills, 90210," after the jump.
continue readingAdministrators at the Irving Cancer Center in Texas asked breast cancer survivors, staff, patients and visitors to design bras that could be auctioned off to raise money for breast cancer support services. The only prerequisite was the bras needed to be able to hang on a hanger (so yeah, that meant no pasties). The bulk of the submissions were very creative, but not always the most practical: there was a Halloween-themed one with black and orange feathers, but pieces of candy corn were unfairly asked to do the difficult job of providing support. There was also a Texas-themed one, where the state's outline was sewn over one of the cups. I'm not sure there's anything wrong with that, but there's probably only a handful of people who will find that sexy.
The best submission was unquestionably "The Boob Tube," where one television screen was embedded in each cup and surrounded by rhinestones (you can see it after the jump). It's obvious that the bra's main mission is to impress the significant others who see it, since it's physically impossible for the woman wearing it to watch it. The wire coming out of one side is unfavorable, but come on: this bra has two TVs in it! This is the greatest thing since Victoria's Secret made the Black Diamond Fantasy Miracle Bra (the staggering price of which is revealed, above)! Some women may complain "The Boob Tube" distracts from the main attraction, but I have a feeling the combination of the average guy's two favorite things will still make it a bestseller at the auction. That is, of course, if the Texas one doesn't steal the show.
Not quite two months after the news that her diagnosis of breast cancer (and her subsequent treatment) would push the debut of NBC's "Parenthood" to midseason, Maura Tierney has had to leave the series due to her illness. Though her physicians are still optimistic about her prognosis, the network is currently recasting her role (while, naturally, wishing her "a quick and full recovery"). There will certainly be time to speculate as to which actress might make a good second-string Tierney, but for now, let's watch the clip above, in which Tierney herself describes the role we won't get to see her play.
Jack Black has made a video for the Noreen Fraser Foundation to promote breast cancer awareness. It includes his very own close encounter with a mammogram machine, or "boob-saver 5K" as he calls it. Watch it after the jump:
