Last night, ABC aired "Our Thanks" (above), which is definitely the "Scrubs" Season 9 finale -- and probably the finale for the series, full stop. Is it time for the show to graciously exit the stage? Or was that time actually a few years ago? Our thoughts are after the jump.

Late night is all about skewering NBC's inept management these days, and no one's having more fun with it than Conan O'Brien. Coco opened his show show (no no?) last night with a monologue rife with NBC barbs. The best line: "[Kids,] you can do anything you want in life...unless Jay Leno wants to do it too." Then, the host outlined some of NBC's changes to the Winter Olympics, which were also brilliant. One proposed change: "Move bronze [medals] to gold's place, keep silver where it is, and invent a new fourth-place medal called 'the NBC'." Well done, "Tonight Show" writing staff.
Jack McBrayer (as "30 Rock's" Kenneth the Page) also made a cameo appearance, and Conan's interview with Ricky Gervais was predictably hilarious. Gervais was worried about Conan's future, because he didn't believe the host had any "skills." The full episode is above, please enjoy. As for the rest of last night's late night shows, they're all after the jump.

Do you know how hard it is for a TV series to lose me in its NINTH SEASON? And yet "Scrubs" is about to pull off just this dubious achievement. The full recap of the latest episode is after the jump.
continue readingAziz Ansari says that some people think his alter ego, Randy, is funnier than he is. While that may not be true, the character he developed for the Judd Apatow flick "Funny People" is funny enough to headline his own movie: The "Parks and Recreation" star and his "Human Giant" co-creator Jason Woliner pitched three movies to Apatow, according to Variety, and Apatow shocked them by taking all three. Woliner is set to direct.
Here are the pitches:
1) A cosmonaut has to go back to space to clear his reputation.
2) Two guys who work for a motivational speaking company hit the road.
3) Raaaaaaaandy!
I'm sure the first two will be funny (and were, to the fans of "Human Giant" and "Reno 911!" who've already seen versions of them), but the real excitement has to be over the Randy movie. The man makes jokes about Darfur, and if you can make that funny, you can make anything funny. He even has a DJ named Old Youngin' punctuating jokes with scratches and cuts instead of rimshots.
Randy is basically what you'd get if you crossed Soulja Boy with Dane Cook, and the movie will have to be rated R because it will likely set a record for most profanity. (At least then Trey Parker and Matt Stone will have some much-needed motivation to up their game.) So, for the uninitiated adults out there, enjoy the EXTREMELY NSFW videos after the jump to get an idea of what the movie is bound to be like.
"Parks and Recreation" star Aziz Ansari posted an absolute gem on his blog today: The Ultimate Warrior's 1990 appearance on "The Arsenio Hall Show." Now, for those of you who aren't acquainted with The Ultimate Warrior, he was the most ridiculous of the all the ridiculous WWF stars of the nineties (including the red-mohawked "Tatanka"), and you can see him in action against Sgt. Slaughter, above.
But even if you think professional wrestling is dumb, you'll be able to appreciate the "Arsenio" clip after the jump. The wrestler bounds from backstage, runs through the crowd, flips over some couches, and glares at the host...before the grunting that constitutes the "interview." It'll make you long for the early '90s, when fist pumps were cheap and performance-enhancing drugs were plentiful.
continue readingAziz Ansari's real life sounds even funnier than his TV shows, and he's been on a lot of funny shows -- most recently, "Parks and Recreation." When the comedian isn't partying with Kanye West, he's being chauffeured by the stunt driver from "Die Hard with a Vengeance" -- at least, if you believe what he says in this "Attack of the Show" interview. (I do.) More after the jump.
continue readingAziz Ansari told David Letterman this week that he felt out of place hanging with Kanye West and Jay-Z at a hip-hop club. Except when Ansari said it, it was funny. All he needed to do to fit in, though, was fall into character. Either of the equally despicable Ansari characters Tom Haverford or Raaaandy would have worked well. More after the jump.

I, for one, thought I had seen Leslie Knope in every possible awkward situation, but that's before I saw her on "Parks and Recreation" last night, getting ready for a first date. The full recap is after the jump.
continue readingAziz Ansari visited "All Things Considered" last week to dish on "Parks and Recreation" (the show that allows him the opportunity to play the race card (and the your-momma card) with Louis C.K., as you can see above). Over the course of the interview, Ansari might actually set an NPR record for references to Soulja Boy. He also discussed his past work in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning for New York University, as well as his character on "P&R," Tom Haverford. Check it out after the jump.
continue readingAbove, in a classic clip from the first season of "Parks and Recreation," April gets drunk in the office. Apri is played by Aubrey Plaza, who is among the top two Aubreys currently making pop-cultural news -- the other being hip-hop star Drake (true name: Aubrey Graham). Confused? It's understandable! Check out our handy guide to telling them apart, after the jump.
