It's already been quite a year for Betty White: a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Screen Actors Guild (which she discusses in the "Entertainment Tonight" clip above), talk of a Daytime Emmy nomination for her role on "The Bold and the Beautiful," and a very well-received Snickers ad, which aired during the Super Bowl. And things are only getting better: in a move that will delight the nearly half a million members of the Facebook group that agitated for it, White will host "Saturday Night Live" this season. Not sure you'll watch? Maybe the lineup of sketches from White's "Saturday Night Live" episode, which we have brought back from the future*, will change your mind.
11:30 PM: Cold open features a frazzled Barack Obama (Fred Armisen) trying to conduct a meeting at the White House amid frequent interruptions from his mother-in-law, Marian Robinson (White), who can't stop hitting on Rahm Emanuel (Andy Samberg).
11:37 PM: Opening monologue features White looking back on her many years as a game-show panelist, with a walk-on from the ghost of Gene Rayburn (Bill Hader).
11:45 PM: The Cougar Den returns. Cameron Diaz cameos as Kiki, and introduces her grandmother, a Sabre Tooth (White).
11:52 PM: The night's Digital Short features a rap performance by Andy Samberg, White, and the episode's musical guest, Ludacris.
11:58 PM: [Ludacris performs.]
12:06 AM: Weekend Update recalls White's light-hearted note to Rue McClanahan urging her to "drop dead" and leave White the last living Golden Girl, and offers up an editorial reply from Rue McClanahan (Will Forte).
12:18 AM: "It's a Match" has White playing a panelist based almost exactly on Dr. Joyce Brothers.
12:27 AM: Commercial parody: Betty White's Egg Whites.
12:36 AM: Two A-Holes (Jason Sudeikis and Kristen Wiig) check their grandmother (played by White, and also an A-Hole) into a nursing home.
12:44 AM: [Ludacris performs]
12:52 AM: Jenny Slate's custom doorbell saleswoman has a new product line: customized personal body alarms for the elderly, which she advertises with the help of her grandmother (White).
12:59 AM: Goodnight!
*It's not actually from the future. I just made it up.
