"Saturday Night Live" Episode 35-14: "Ashton Kutcher/Them Crooked Vultures"

Man-meat cougar plaything Ashton Kutcher hosted this week's episode of "Saturday Night Live," and he did a good job of it! Here is his very funny opening monologue, in which he riffs on his newfound maturity and restraint, even in the face of a bulldog on a surfboard.

After the monologue came this very funny sketch about a pool boy who got stiffed out of an inheritance from his 110-year-old lover who apparently, not only didn't leave him any money, but also gave him an array of STDs so old, they had racist names.

Here's another installation of the "View" sketch, in which Kutcher plays anti-Semitic drunk driver Mel Gibson.

Will Forte got to "gay it up" in this sketch, in which Kutcher plays his equinely-endowed, grape-feeding slave boy.

And in this week's "Update," we got to witness the triumphant return of Garth and Kat, the perpetually unprepared singing duo. This is the only bit I've ever seen Armisen laugh through, and in turn, cause Wiig to break. It makes me love it more! Hooray for laughter.

I liked this sketch about the never-ending "Best Picture" Academy Awards nominations, and not just because it had a very important reference to "K-Pax."

Finally, USA tweeted an incendiary response to this sketch about a game show called "What is 'Burn Notice'?" (Get it? "Incendiary" because burning is something fire does.) But, first of all, USA is NBC, so yeesh with the intra-network spats, kiddos. And second of all, nobody knows what "Burn Notice" is! It's funny because it's true! Also, it's a really highly-rated show in its third season so who's laughing now? I am, because this was a funny sketch. Also, I am high. I AM NOT HIGH!

But for you tong-bokers who ARE stoned off your gourds (pumpkins count!), here is a sketch featuring Dave Grohl of one million bands, but most notably, Them Crooked Vultures, who performed live on Saturday's show and were loud.

See you in three weeks, after the "SNL" hiatus (and the Olympics) for Jennifer Lopez, who will be hosting and musical-guesting, hopefully dressed in some kind of insane catsuit with pockets and a tail.
