"Parks and Recreation" Plot Twists Revealed: Hey, Look What We Just Got!

By now, most "Parks and Recreation" fans must know about Will Arnett guest-starring on wife Amy Poehler's brilliant comedy. And they probably know the couple's characters are going out on a blind date. Arnett plays a weird MRI tech, who maybe takes his job a bit too seriously. (Of course he does -- otherwise the blind date might not suck the way all blind dates do, only the ones on TV are funnier.) But there is so much else that fans do not know. Read and learn.

It gets soooooo much worse, thankfully.

Leslie is wasting her "oven"! Ick. What a trouper she is not to run out of there screaming. But that's the thing about Leslie: she just has a great attitude, pretty much all the time -- even in the face of disgusting adversity. And she is bravely wasting no time in getting back into the dating scene since Dave the cop was deployed to San Diego. The MRI tech is clearly not her man, but Ann's lawyer friend (Justin Theroux) might be. Ann introduces them because she thinks he might be able to help Leslie with a legal matter regarding the park. But there is a little more going on here: Ann lets it slip that she thinks the lawyer is a pretty awesome dude.

Hmmm. Ann was a little too enthusiastic, right? Right! She so wants to hook up with the lawyer -- and Mark knows it. But who wouldn't be attracted to a guy who uses his lawyerly powers for good and not evil? The man is saving people from burning their hands off with Fire in a Can! A saint, I tell you.

So here's what's going to happen later this season: Leslie is going to date the lawyer, whom Ann really wants to date. But deep down, Leslie still has the hots for Ann's boyfriend, Mark. Romance is tricky in small towns.

And here's one more thing we can expect: Leslie's optimism about local government is going to be challenged, and she will have to decide what kind of person and politician she is. Call that an expert guess -- or call that watching the video above and listening to what Amy Poehler says. Either way: now you know, too.
