Late Night Last Night: Cera Meets "Shore," Levi Visits Puerto Rico, Colbert Better Knows Yemen, And Pratt Loves Ham
January 6th 2010 at 8:22am by TaraAriano

Perhaps you saw, earlier this week, those shots of Michael Cera hanging out with the "Jersey Shore" crew and wondered to yourself, "Uh...what?" Fortunately, Cera's "Youth in Revolt" goodwill tour continues, and he appeared last night on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" to talk about his new friends, which you can see above. And Cera's friendliness extends further than just to reality stars; he also cozied up to an audience member for a game of Taboo.

John Oliver of "The Daily Show" looked into conservative commentators' claims that America needs to go back to the simple values of an earlier time, trying to figure out which era they might actually be talking about.

Sidebar: there was a time when PEPSI was beating COKE? Was Pepsi half the price of Coke or something?! I refuse to believe it.

On "The Colbert Report," Stephen continued his coverage of the Christmas Day underwear bomber by Better Knowing the nation of Yemen.

In advance of the return of his critically beloved series "Chuck," Zachary Levi stopped by "The Late Show" to talk about how he spent the holidays.

Jimmy Kimmel reported on an incident where the TSA confiscated Play-Doh from...a kid. Thank goodness they're keeping us so safe!

"The Tonight Show" sent special correspondent Triumph the Insult Comic Dog to visit a spa for dogs, with typically inappropriate results.

By the way, in his intro, Conan mentions dog clothing boutiques as a particularly L.A. establishment, so I'm sorry to report that, just down the street from my apartment in New York, there is a store that sells dog JEWELRY. It disgusts me every day -- and not just because it moved into the location formerly occupied by our favorite Chinese food place. But back to "The Tonight Show": genius "Parks and Recreation" star Chris Pratt took on a very important topic: ham.

Conan also noted the current cold snap that has the country in its grip by bringing in a special guest.

Speaking of which -- in case you missed it over the holidays, here's the best photo I have seen in a WHILE.

Push For Ice

Thanks, The Daily What!
