Last Night's TV: Dep. Jones Is "The Jackhammer," "The Philanthropist" Stays Spotless, and Mark Sanford Philanders

"Reno 911" officers Jones and Williams went undercover at a swingers' party last night to "investigate" suspicious activity, but Jones crossed a line (or several) when he boasted that Williams nicknamed him "the jackhammer." Way to cap off hump day, Deputy Jones! Happy Thursday. Time to look at last night's television, which contained a nice mix of scandalous political confessions and Nigerian rites of passage.

"The Philanthropist" debuted with billionaire Teddy jetting off to Nigeria to deliver vaccines to the needy and join in tribal dance circles (getting nary a spot on his impeccably tailored suit).

Contestants on "Top Chef Masters" had to make monochromatic dishes in different color schemes: green, orange, red, and yellow. "I don't think a one-color dish visually works that well for most people," complained Chef Wilo Benet (who ended up with orange).

On "Clean House: Search for the Messiest Home in the Country," Mr. Winzer and his family struggled to move into his deceased mother's house; unfortunately, they can barely open the front door.

On the talk show front, Jon Stewart tackled Mark Sanford's news conference confession; he also got an update on terrorism from religious scholar Reza Aslan.

Stephen Colbert talked to author Matthew Crawford about motorcycles. In other news, Colbert's hair is growing back with impressive speed.

That's all for now. TGI almost F.
