Above, Reuters reports on a "wacky inventions" display put on by students in the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University. And, considering that the average NYU student looks like this, it's a pretty safe assumption that these "wacky" inventions will probably err on the side of ridiculous. Naturally, I'm excited. Take it away, kids!
First up, we've got meditation boots that reward their wearer "for staying still." The boots look like tree trunks, and if you move, it sounds like "ripping trees and cracking trees." Of course, if you aren't wearing "root boots," standing still (or moving) doesn't make any noise either, but do you have the heart to crush that poor hipster's dream? I didn't think so.
Be sure to check out the other inventions too, including a mud computer, rings filled with cocktails, and a computer display that shows international currencies as fish. (Because "finance is scary.") That'll do, NYU. That'll do.
