Kids love Santa Claus, and he loves them back. But when your child asks you if he really exists, what should you do? Should you forward their question to the Op-Ed desk at the local newspaper? Deflect the question and ask them to fetch you another beer? Or maybe perpetuate a lie that eventually destroys your child's faith in its parents? (Nah, you wouldn't do that last one, would you?)
I recommend showing them this famous scene from "Miracle on 34th St." If it's a good enough explanation for the American legal system it's certainly good enough for your kid, too.
